Beautiful Borders Abbeys

The Scottish Borders are so often overlooked by visitors to Scotland in favour of the Highlands, Skye and Edinburgh, but the Borders have so much to offer.

The ruined Abbeys of Melrose, Kelso, Dryburgh and Jedburgh have almost 1,000 years of history and there’s something really magical and spiritual about them. Dryburgh is a particular favourite of mine and here I am posing within the remnants of The naive, choir, presbytery and transepts.

Dryburgh is also the burial place of Sir Walter Scott, a famous Scottish writer in the 17th and 18th centuries. Well worth a visit and my group were blown away with their visits!
